Robert Inwood is one of British Columbia’s most accomplished Concept Designers & Illustrators. Robert’s early professional experience included works in the areas of underground comix, graphic novels, rock posters, and as an internationally published book illustrator.
Inwood’s later life career track utilized his conceptual design & drawing skills in a more architectural vein where he specialized in heritage restoration and downtown revitalization efforts around the Province. Inwood was the principle designer and project coordinator for community make-overs in Cities such as: Nelson, Rossland. Revelstoke, Langley Center, Trail, & Kaslo and has contributed Design Guidelines to dozens of B.C. communities – including the Resort Municipality of Whistler. He has worked collaboratively with other artists to produce numerous public art installations including: the design for the Kootenay Lake Ferry-Osprey 2000, the City of Trail Champions Monument, and the BC Provincial Heritage Stop of Interest sign program.
Robert’s personal interests include a love of fantasy in illustration and the cinema, photography, and drawing and painting. In his teaching & design work Bob fosters an approach that integrates traditional media skills with state of the art technologies. He enjoys the interaction with art students where he can present the benefits of his ‘old school’ knowledge & experience in an active dialog of fresh ideas and techniques that can be utilized in a variety of potential creative and high paying commercial art & design applications.
