Wren brings a wealth of Occupational First Aid training experience to Selkirk College, having worked in industry as a first aid attendant for 25 years.
 

Wren has worked in industrial construction, with Ministry of Forests as an initial attack firefighter, as an ambulance attendant for BC Ambulance Service and as a ski patroller and tail guide for cat skiing operations - among others. More recently, Wren has been employed as the snow safety supervisor at Whitewater Ski Resort in charge of all staff and public first aid, general risk management and avalanche forecasting. Wren also works for the Canadian Avalanche Association as and Industry Training Program instructor. She holds a CAA Level 3 certificate in Applied Avalanche Risk Management.

Wren started teaching Occupational First Aid courses for Selkirk College in 1997 and in 2016 became the Regional Coordinator for the WorkSafeBC training programs. Wren is a WSBC Occupational First Aid examiner and instructor. She continues to share her enthusiasm and passion for teaching with her students and is enjoying the position of regional coordinator.
