How to apply
There are no admission requirements, everyone is welcome.
Contact Academic Upgrading Advisor Kristin Knutson or an intake coordinator at a campus near you.
Registration begins with a conversation with one of our instructors. You will discuss your goals and reasons for upgrading, your past education, and the best fit for your current situation.
During the interview, you will complete the forms to apply to Selkirk College and register for your courses. We can help with your forms and answer any questions that may come up.
Academic Upgrading courses are tuition free. However, there are some student fees. Funding is available to help cover your student fees and to help with transportation, unsubsidized daycare, and school supplies.
To find out if you qualify for the Adult Upgrading Grant (AUG) from the BC government or for the Selkirk Adult Upgrading Bursary, speak with the Upgrading staff. They also can help you fill out these forms.
If you have any immediate questions, contact Academic Upgrading Assistant Kristin Knutson by email or call 250.354.3230.
