Introduction to Psychology is intended to provide an exploration of the foundations of modern psychology. Topics include emotion, perception, personality, intelligence, motivation, learning and memory. The importance of heredity, culture, gender, and age on psychological health is investigated. Current psychological research is incorporated throughout the course.
This course prepares students for further studies in social sciences at the post-secondary level. This course qualifies for the BC Adult Graduation Diploma.
SOST 62/63 is equivalent to Psychology 12.
Pre-requisites: ENG 50 or approval from the instructor. *For optimal success in this course a grade of C+ or higher is recommended.
