A book to curl up with...
From a book on the industries of the future, to a book on sustainable indigenous practices on the Columbia River from Mike Marchand of the Confederated Tribes of Colville Reservation to a book on some brave librarians working for cultural preservation in Timbuktu - there's something for everyone to curl up in a chair with over the holidays.
There are also several books on student learning including Angela Duckworth's book titled Grit, The Developing Mind by Daniel Siegel, and for instructors a book on responding to the Digital Age.
The Learning Region is a collaboration of Community Colleges of Spokane, College of the Rockies, and the Applied Innovation Research Centre and Teaching and Learning Institute at Selkirk College.
