I upgraded my math, English, chemistry, biology, my skills and confidence totally developed. Doors have really opened up for me now.
At first, I didn’t want to go back to school because I thought it might be too challenging and just did not feel ready. But, once I walked through the doors of Selkirk College’s Silver King campus in Nelson, I not only found a comfortable, fun atmosphere, but also a supportive one, where instructors knew my name and truly wanted me to succeed.
After upgrading my prerequisites through Adult Basic Education, I was accepted into the Nursing program at Selkirk. I’m proud of my accomplishments and I attribute much of my success to the encouragement I received from my instructors and classmates. I am looking forward to serving my community as a Nurse in the next few years.
