Tables are the first major projects that students design and build on their own accord. While all students are required to stay within certain size constraints and include a drawer and a mortise and tenon, the remaining design aspects are completely up to the maker.
The cabinet project is the second and final major project that students complete. Much like the table, there are few design constraints. Students are encouraged to design and build a unique piece that is reflective of their personal design philosophy and skill set. As we reach the end of the year, some cabinets are still receiving finishing touches.
