Tracing Selkirk College’s Inspiring History in Journeys Taken
It’s been five decades in the making and on the eve of Selkirk College's historic Grad 2017, Journeys Taken: Selkirk College - The First 50 Years will be available for sale.
To mark Selkirk College’s 50 years of inspiring education in the West Kootenay and Boundary region, the commemorative coffee table book traces the tremendous post-secondary legacy that has been built by students, staff and community. Packed with history, individual stories and photographs from through the years, Journeys Taken is a beautifully designed volume that will be a cherished keepsake in your home.
Journeys Taken: Selkirk College - The First 50 Years will be available for sale at the end of April. The 200-page coffee table book traces that first five decades of Selkirk College.
After almost two years of work, the project team sent the book off to print last month. It is expected to arrive just in time for graduation. Journeys Taken will be for sale at the Castlegar Campus Bookstore (open Monday to Friday 8:30 to 3 p.m.) and all other Selkirk College learning centres starting April 28. Journeys Taken will also be available at Otter Books in Nelson.
Not only will you have the opportunity to bring home this wonderful conversation piece, purchase of the book means you are helping future students achieve their educational dreams. The book retails for $40 and will be available to staff/students for $30. All proceeds from the sale of Journeys Taken will go towards the Selkirk College 50th Anniversary Legacy Fund that aims to raise $50,000 for student awards in the next 50 years.
