The Craig Andrews Community Education (CACE) Bursary is presented to students in Community Education & Workplace Training (CEWT) courses who show financial need and a commitment to:

Steps to Apply
- Contact your local CEWT coordinator to:
- Find out if your course is covered. Only select CEWT courses/programs are eligible.

Pre-register for the course by paying 50% of the course fees (keep your receipt).
2. Click the Apply Now button, complete the application form and submit it to your local CE coordinator with the course receipt attached.
Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible, and you must apply at least two weeks prior to the course start date to be considered. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis. Retroactive applications won’t be accepted.
What Happens Next?

Applicants will receive an email notification from their CEWT coordinator within two weeks of submission to let them know if the application was approved or declined.

If approved, the funds will be released and transferred to the applicant’s account after the course is completed. Payment processing may take up to six weeks.

The funds can be used to pay final tuition costs, including GST and any course manuals/textbooks provided by Selkirk College.
Award History
The CACE Bursary was established in recognition of the long-term service and commitment of past dean Craig Andrews, a pioneer educator who brought an innovative and energetic approach to education. He impacted the lives of countless learners, educators and community members over his 31-year career at Selkirk College.
Andrews welcomed and respected students, recognized their challenges and achievements, engaged and empowered them, and appreciated their contributions to the college. He always looked forward to sharing his passion for learning with others. In 2016, he was honoured with a Distinguished Educator Award in recognition of his tremendous contribution to the advancement of learning in the West Kootenay and Boundary regions of British Columbia.
An educator of educators, Andrews always empowered others, creating opportunities for his teams to learn. In doing so, he laid the foundations for the future.
