I recognize that the School of Academic Upgrading and Development offers a unique opportunity for learners of achieve success and reach their goals. Being an instructor at the Silver King campus is an exciting challenge for me.
I completed my Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Guelph and then my Education degree from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, ON. I started my teaching career in Ontario in high school sciences. Knowing that my future plans did not involve living in South Western Ontario, I continued the Silviculture work that had afforded me my university education. That path lead me to cooking and catering for ski lodges and back country huts, more catering and cooking and a couple kids later, I'm excited to be returning to my role as an educator. The lessons I've gained from my professional and personal life will serve me well as I help learners in Selkirk's school of Academic Upgrading and Development.
