This workshop covers the foundations of financial skills for maintaining the long-term health of non-profit organizations. Discussions include the basics of economic analysis, cash flow and budget management, goal setting, strategy, and reporting.
Instructor Thierry Cochaux-Laberge became a CPA in 2020 and has gained experience working primarily with non-profit and public sector clients in Quebec and British Columbia. Based in Nelson, Thierry is now a partner at Arrowmaker, a small accounting firm providing personalized services to non-profit organizations and small businesses. Thierry also works as a CPA Canada marker for their Professional Education Program and the Common Final Examination. Thierry enjoys bringing clarity to areas that others might see as chaotic. To him, nothing is more satisfying than diving into a messy accounting puzzle and organizing it into a clear picture. Thierry enjoys hiking, running, skiing, and camping in the beautiful local mountains in his spare time.
