Foundations of Conflict Management

This one-day workshop gives you the foundations of conflict resolution with a basic understanding of managing conflict, including difficult conversations, emotions in conflict and practices for effective communication skills. Through activities, you will enhance your understanding of conflict while also developing valuable skills for taking control of conflict and resolving it through your own personalized conflict resolution plan.

Meet the Instructor

Sandy Osborne has over 25 years of experience specializing in strategic planning, leadership, conflict resolution and effective relationship building - as well as innovative and experiential facilitation and instruction processes. She has played a key role in the design, curriculum development and delivery of the Conflict Resolution course at Aurora College in the Northwest Territories. Sandy maintains a well-researched currency with respect to trends and exemplary practices in conflict resolution, workshop instruction and facilitation processes and tools. As well as holding an MA in Leadership and Learning and a BA in Communications, she has a Certificate in Conflict Resolution from the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
