The Teaching and Learning Institute (TLI) supports students, staff, and community in adapting to 21st century lifelong learning.
Instructional development including: excellent teaching and learning as well as specific pedagogies, e.g. service/experiential learning, indigenization and internationalization.
Collaboration with school districts, literacy groups, public libraries, government, businesses and other non-profit groups concerned with education building a Learning Region.
Participation in student recruitment, engagement and retention initiatives through activities that optimize student learning.
The Institute is run by a Coordinator, Theresa Southam, and Learning Fellows from each College School who provide support to their peers, investigate how students learn and explore and implement new educational approaches. In this way we maximize learning.
