James has been with the college in IT Services since 2004, after graduating with honors from the Selkirk CIS program. He started out as a lab monitor on the Tenth Street Campus, but quickly advanced into a helpdesk role and kept lab systems up to date.

James is now classified as an Infrastructure Development and Support Tier 2 technician. James manages the development and deployment of all PC desktop operating systems and applications for both staff and labs systems. He also manages our virtual systems on Citrix and is a member of the Cyber Security department in ITS. As a Tier 2, James is one of the escalation points supporting the Tier 1 helpdesk technicians and assists the Tier 3 technicians as required.

James has four adult children—two girls and two boys—and two granddaughters. He has lived in the Kootenays for 30+ years and loves to camp, swim and wander some of the trails. He also loves to golf, print and paint 3D models, play guitar and play video games.
