Marita Harinen holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Biological Engineering from the University of Guelph and a Provincial Instructor Diploma. She is currently completing a Master of Education in Open, Digital and Distance Education through Athabasca University. With more than 10 years of teaching experience, she teaches mathematics, physics, biology and English in Academic Upgrading at Selkirk College.
Marita believes that learning can be life-changing. She strives to create a supportive learning environment where students feel capable, challenged and encouraged to succeed. Her favourite part about working at Selkirk College is being surrounded by people who value learning and personal growth.
