Reducing Food Insecurity

Are you struggling to get the food and nutrition you need? We are here to support you.

Visit the Food Pantry

There is a food pantry available to support students on campus. The pantry is supplied with non-perishable food items.

  • Castlegar Campus: Main Lobby, near Students' Union Office 0-127

  • Tenth Street Campus: Students' Union Office P112

  • Silver King Campus: Students' Union Office C136

  • Trail Campus: Main floor stairwell near the main entrance

To learn more about the food pantry, please connect with Selkirk College Students’ Union.

Dinner Basket Conversations

Gather as a group to prepare and enjoy a meal together while discussing a topic. The ingredients for the meal are provided free of charge and a kitchen space is available on the Castlegar Campus and at the Tenth Street Housing in Nelson.

Dinner Basket Conversations make sensitive and difficult topics accessible by creating a safe, comfortable environment while promoting food security.
