Jocelyn Templeman moved from England to the Kootenays in early 2008 as a newly minted permanent resident of Canada. She has since obtained her cherished Canadian citizenship. She came to the college with over 15 years of experience in purchasing and has relished becoming a Canadian public sector procurement geek and obtaining her Public Sector Procurement Professional designation. Starting as the junior buyer in 2009, Jocelyn moved into the role of buyer in 2014 and procurement & contracts manager in 2022.  She and her small but mighty team provide centralized purchasing services for all procurement needs for the college’s campuses and learning centres, including the Technology Access Centre in Trail.

Outside the college, Jocelyn can be found riding the trails and attending clinics and competitions with her horse Talisker, and loves visiting other countries and areas of Canada with her husband, Steve. She is a keen volunteer for all things equestrian, and she is currently the vice president of the Trail Horseman’s Society.

Jocelyn speaks fluent French, reasonable but rusty German and a little bit of Italian. Jocelyn and Steve lived in the Charente-Maritime department of France for a couple of years in the early 2000s and spent their time renovating their former tram station house and visiting Bordeaux region wineries, Cognac distilleries and enjoying the incredible food of the region.
