Instructor

Chantal Lortie is a proud graduate of Lethbridge College’s Practical Nursing program (Class of 2013). She began her teaching career in 2014 with Lethbridge College, where she supported students in both the Health Care Aide and Practical Nursing programs. Alongside her teaching role, she worked full-time as a community nurse specializing in wound care and IV therapy.

In 2015, Chantal relocated to the West Kootenay to begin a new chapter with her spouse. That same year, she joined Selkirk College as a part-time instructor while continuing to work as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) across acute, residential and community care settings.

In 2019, following the birth of her child, she transitioned into full-time teaching. As a lifelong learner, she completed her Provincial Instructor Diploma in 2021 and hopes to pursue a Master of Education in the future.

Outside of work, Chantal enjoys reading from her extensive collection of books, camping, crafting and gardening. Most importantly, she values spending time with her family.

Chantal is deeply passionate about health care and education, with a strong belief in the transformative power of knowledge to drive meaningful change. She looks forward to sharing knowledge, experiences and building meaningful connections with future students.
