"I feel privileged to work as an instructor in the school that formed the strong foundation for my career in the environmental field." —Keyes Lessard, Selkirk College School of Environment & Geomatics alumnus and instructor

I have been instructing in the School of Environment & Geomatics at Selkirk College since 2004. I have taught an assortment of courses in subjects including forest ecology, outdoor skills, environmental law, and avalanche training.  My professional background is in ecology and terrestrial ecosystem mapping.

I am also interested in risk management and backcountry safety, and I am an avalanche professional with the Canadian Avalanche Association.  When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family doing something fun outside.

I graduated from the Recreation, Fish and Wildlife Program at Selkirk College in 1995. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Royal Roads University.
