Msc Environmental Practice, Registered Forest Technologist, DIP Forest Technology, CE Natural Resource Technology
Instructor, Forest Technology
As a young adult, I pursued every opportunity to play and work outdoors, and I am an avid mountain biker, skier and trail runner. I have also worked for provincial parks, and worked as a tree planter and wildland firefighter.
I graduated with a Diploma in Forest Technology from Selkirk College and became a registered forest technologist with the FPBC. Throughout my career, I have trekked through magnificent spruce forests, trod beneath ancient cedars, encountered grizzlies and black bears, wolves and mule deer, owls and eagles, and experienced the magic of solitude and oneness of being completely alone with nature.
I recently completed a MSc in Environmental Practice through Royal Roads University, where I studied the effects of climate change in resource management, the sustainability practices in environmental systems related to forestry, as well as explored the use of RPAS to collect forest metrics.
