Instructor, Early Childhood Care and Education

I started my position as an ECCE instructor with Selkirk College in August 2018 after working for Kootenay Family Place for 18 years. I have been blessed with a variety of work experience in the early years sector. I have worked in childcare, family drop-in, young parent program, Strong Start and spent 12 years as a Supported Child Development Consultant. I bring a lot of passion to the early childhood care and education field and feel excited to share my knowledge and experiences with students.

I am a Selkirk College alumni and completed my ECCE certificate and Child and Youth Care diploma in Castlegar. I continued my education as I worked in the field and graduated with honours with a Child and Youth Care degree from the University of Victoria in 2015. I am currently completing my Masters in Counselling from the University of Lethbridge. I throughly enjoy my work with children and families as I constantly learn new things. Through my career and educational journey, I consider myself to be a lifelong learner.
