Teaching

Becoming a teacher was all a bit of a surprise for me, but it has since become a passion. I completed my masters degree in the UK at aged 22 and promptly left for some snowboarding in Canada. I found employment as the 'Math and Science Tutor' for the Selkirk College, loved it, and soon after my 24th birthday became a fully-fledged instructor. Now with three plus years of teaching experience, I think I have found my style and absolutely love my job and life in general, in the Kootenays.

Searching for snow

As a keen snowboarder, my original plan was to visit Canada for three months to do a half-season in Whistler after my university education. I pretty quickly moved into the interior, fell in love with the mountains and now five years later I have finally settled down to the point that I have bought a house, committed whole heartedly to the Kootenays, and in the coming year will go through the process to officially become a citizen of this amazing country!
