Instructor, Early Childhood Care and Education

I began my journey in Human Services here at Selkirk College over 20 years ago, earning my ECCE certification followed by a diploma in Child and Youth Care. I then moved forward to complete my BA in Child and Youth Care at the University of Victoria in 2003. Upon graduation, my experience expanded to include supervising within a variety of childcare settings, working in school-based child and youth care, facilitating and mentoring youth in philanthropy as well as coordinating school-district wide violence prevention programming and parent education programs. In 2013, I decided to further my passion for supporting children, youth and families by obtaining my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Yorkville University and have practiced as a registered clinical counselor with a primary focus on children, youth and parent support.

When I am not working with students or families, I am usually busy with my own family, enjoying my garden or producing culinary creations.

I am honored to have made the full circle back to Selkirk College and for being a part of the future alumnus in Human Services.
