Campus Master Plan

Future capital planning at Selkirk College is focused on offering a range of amenities, services and experiences that contribute to a vibrant post-secondary learning environment.

We launched an internal consultation process in April 2026 to shape and update the Campus Master Plan. The long-term framework will guide how we invest in, develop and care for our physical campuses for years to come.

Charting Our Development

The Campus Master Plan:

  • Sets infrastructure and facilities priorities.
  • Is about creating spaces that inspire and help contribute to student success.
  • Lays out a vision for a compact, animated, active and sustainable campus community.
  • Pays special attention to actions that can be taken in the next five years.
  • Smaller projects include welcoming spaces, sustainable landscaping, enhanced transportation and improvements to technology in the classroom.
  • Major capital projects will revitalize some of the college’s aging facilities.
  • Immediate needs such as additional student housing spaces in both Castlegar and Nelson factor significantly.
