I have worked my entire adult life with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts in a variety of positions. Most notably as a Executive Chef for the Jasper Park Lodge, Chateau Laurier in Ottawa and the Chateau Lake Louise. I was also the Director of Food and Beverage for the Banff Springs Hotel and the Chateau Lake Louise. I held the Director of Operations title a the Chateau Whistler and as well as the Chateau Lake Louise.
I was the opening General Manager for the Fairmont Zimbali Resort and Lodge in South Africa. I opened this resort hotel complex with Beach Club and Willow Stream Spa nine days before the start of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
I was selected as Fairmont Hotels and Resorts Leader of the Company in 1993. I was a member of Culinary Team Canada in 1997 when we won the World Championships Scot Hot competition in Glasgow.
I have been married to Sandy for 30 years (on Sept 6th), we have two beautiful adult daughters and 3 grandchildren. Moving to Nelson and being able to work at Selkirk College is a dream come true for me.
