Iona's World is a book club, a historical review, a tea party and a field trip (scheduled separately from the course). It is an adventure of history, mystery and people. Using Books #11 (Lightning Strike the Silence) and #12 (The Cost of a Hostage), we will explore the historical and social justice threads throughout the books. You do not have to have read the complete series; however, you will enjoy the discussion more if you have read these two books. We will also have a tea party à la Eleanor, so bring your china cup!
Meet The Trainer
Jean's family has a long history in Nelson, and she comes from a line of folks interested in history, exploration of the local area and people...and in reading! Jean grew up in Nelson, left for 40 years, and returned after retiring. She has found a community within Learning in Retirement and the Nelson Electric Tramway Society.
