Our Accessibility Commitment 2023–2025 aims to enhance and grow our work to meet our values of community, access, respect and excellence. This commitment develops a framework for future plans.

Types of Barriers

Barriers are obstacles to full participation in society and in our college community. 

Accessibility challenges can be:

  • Physical: doorknobs, ramps, elevators, signage, parking
  • Technological: websites, software applications, captions
  • Attitudinal: biases, micro aggressions, discrimination
  • Informational: forms, plain language, colours, fonts
  • Systemic: policies, procedures, services
