Tamara M. Hudson holds a master’s degree in education with a concentration in international teaching from Framingham University and a Bachelor of Education specializing in Teaching English as a Second Language from Concordia University. An experienced and knowledgeable BC-certified teacher with specializations in TESOL, Elementary Methodologies and Secondary Social Studies, Tamara is committed to a learner-centred environment and to cultivating student learning accountability.

Endeavoring to emphasize problem-solving, critical thinking and creativity in all aspects of teaching, Tamara joyfully seeks to support and nurture students to pursue passions and interests and strives to support each learner by being resourceful and engaging. She first began working at Selkirk College in International Education in 1999, and then in 2004 moved overseas to teach in Japan, Korea, Thailand and Bali.

Tamara is delighted to have returned to Selkirk College in 2019 and settle back into Kootenay life with her family and two cats.
