Shawn grew up in Nelson, spent some time away and happily moved back to raise his family, as he loves the Kootenays.

He specializes in organization and documentation and has been part of growth in all previous companies he’s worked for. Shawn has a passion for learning and excelling and is a graduate of the Selkirk College Plant Operator Program.

He has a solid production and manufacturing background and experience in technical sales, management, design and prototyping on variety of machines, as well as equipment and machinery repair. With a passion for sharing what he has learned, he wrote and taught courses at the MIDAS Lab and was part of the successful transition from the MIDAS Lab to the Selkirk Technology Access Centre (STAC).

He’s honoured to put his experience to work for Selkirk College and is assisting with the Digital Fabrication and Design Course. He’ll be instructing on the STAC machinery as well as working on expanding his design and reverse engineering skills. Outside of work, Shawn is into outdoor activities and adventures in all seasons, as well as volunteering at his children’s school, and being a part of his community in general.
