Traffic Control Person (TCP)

This Traffic Control Person course is in compliance with the standard required by the BC Construction Safety Alliance which is responsible for Traffic Control training in BC. It will prepare you to work as a Traffic Control Person or Flagger in the Province of BC.

The Traffic Control Person (TCP) training course consists of a mix of theoretical and practical work. It includes hands-on training to prepare you for a wide range of situations and to ensure you have the skills and knowledge to meet all road safety requirements in the province of British Columbia. The course consists of 2 full days of training including half a day of practical road exercise. Successful completion requires 100% attendance as well as a passing mark on the written test. Upon successful completion, students will receive certification that is valid for 3 years.

Students must bring a Government-issued photo ID to the first day of the class. Students will require CSA-approved safety ankle boots for the road exercise on the second day.

Lunch breaks are limited to 30 minutes - students are advised to bring refreshments with them.
